Some treasures from a fete I went to last weekend...
A suitcase, found under the stall - I asked the surprised looking man manning the stall, who confirmed it was for sale (I think he thought I was a bit crazy, buying the old thing...)
and a little wooden bill / letter stand (currently holding some recently thrifted books).
They count as sensible, practical storage items, don't they?!
(let's not mention the STACK of books I collected today, on the other hand... well, maybe I'll show them to you next week!).
For more finds - including an envy-inducing sewing machine - visit

LOVE the suit case. I've been dreaming of exactely that all day while my Indi is trying to jam all her camp stuff into Bren's old back pack.
Have a fab week.

Oh, that suitcase......gorgeous find!
Love that letter holder - they are so hard to find!
Oh that suitcase is gorgeous!
I have two suitcases similar to that one, only they are in a peachy color. Got them at an Estate sale. So I'm partial to your beautiful blue suitcase! Great finds. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful suitcase inside and out - I would definitely have snapped that up too. Books are the bane of my life - I love them, but they're just such space stealers...
Suitcase finds are the BEST. Much nicer than Ikea storage solutions...
I love the lining of that suitcase! I agree that old suitcases make for excellent storage!
ha ha ha... true thrifter!
i've known sellers to pull an eye brow or two when asked for less obvious (well) things to sell, and then they nod vehemently, surprising themselves...
it is a most lovely suitcase... the inside!
Oh I do like those sweet cases, of which I also have several, scrummy lining. The book stand is also a wonderful find.
I cannot pass up a great suitcase! ADDICTED!
